Laughter Fills The Air

"Taking a child, He set him before them, and taking him in His arms, He said to them, "Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me."" Mark 9:36-37 Whether God is the helper of the orphan(Ps 10:4) or the father to the fatherless(Ps 68:5), there remains a special place in God’s heart children. Children must remain children. It is a shame when a child must forgo their childhood due to the hardships of life and put on the cloak of adulthood so early. One of Beloved International’s missions is to restore security within the child’s identity. Security is a hallmark of a child’s character that fosters innocence. It has been amazing to witness what a good home, parents, and siblings ultimately can do for a homeless child. With only a few months in the home, our new child Maggie has been able to find that piece of security that has been missing from her life for so long and regain the innocence that was lost. Although each orphan in our home has a different and heart-breaking story, once they stepped through the doors of their new home at Beloved Rehoboth, transformation and healing began. It is times like these that we are reminded of God’s heart for children and make this ministry all the worthwhile.

With the home filled with uncontrollable laughter and screaming, it was evident that the children were on break from school. The children were given 4 weeks off from school. To fill the time, Stephen has been pushing the children in their physical and spiritual disciplines. The children are responsible for tending to the their 1 cow, 4 sheep, and chicken coup, washing utensils, and cleaning their dormitory. Pastor Stephen more importantly has been teaching the children how to pray, especially on their own, fostering a more personal relationship with Christ. On the weekends, the children are encouraged to read their new children’s Bibles. It is Beloved’s goal to establish spiritual disciplines early into a child till it becomes a natural necessity.

We hope to add a new lavatory and washroom for the children in their new dormitory as well as a water storage tank. Please be in earnest prayer for us as we look to the Lord for this provision. With that said, we thank you again for your prayers and support and leave you with an encouragement from Pastor Stephen as he writes to you all, I keep thanking the lord for you brethren. I pray that our God will keep you intact and strong. Let the Lord give you favor everywhere you speak about the pure religion. May He show you even now the joy reserved for you when you finish this race. I pray that many kids will find their rest in Rehoboth-and that Rehoboth will win Our Lord’s favor forever.
